Why do we use solid brass nail trim? Because we'd know if we use lesser quality, less expensive steel nails with a brass finish that it would not be the best. Besides, in time you'd know, when they begin to rust. Each individual nail is set by hand, not machine. It takes human hands to precisely place each nail, sensing the ever changing thickness and textures of the top grain leather. A mechanized pneumatic nail machine does not have the tactical senses to produce the refined end product, and quite frankly, we hope they are never developed. Old world craftsmanship is still alive in our trim department.
