These reclining leather sofas are not pre-built and waiting in a warehouse for you to buy one. When your order arrives is when production begins on your sofa. They start with the hardwood foundation and use traditional handmade methods of construction including frame joints that are double doweled, screwed, glued, stapled and corner blocked to ensure stability and long lasting durability. The reclining mechanisms are anchored to the frame. Cushioning then covers all areas. Back cushions are created with blown Dacron down-like fibers into chambered encasements then wrapped in muslin and inserted into the leather covers. All nail head trim is applied one at a time with a hammer by a skilled craftsman. All exposed wood is hand rubbed with the appropriate non-toxic finish color.
