Cushion and Frame Construction

The Plush cushion is a very durable yet soft cushion. It is handcrafted with a high resiliency 1.8 density foam core (using no harmful environmental agents) that provides durability, support and comfort. The cushion is then layered on the top and front with generous layers of soft polyester fibers that feel like down feathers. For additional cushion crown and a soft, plush look, it is then inserted into a channeled down-proof cover that has been filled with blown down-like special polyester fibers on top. This cushion is inserted into a zippered leather case. This provides a comfortable, long lasting and plush looking seat that keeps its shape for years to come. The optional Plush II is similarly constructed but includes small Marshall coils in the center of the foam core. The Plush II provides more support and provides a solid "ride" (good for high use, seniors and heavier people). All back cushions are filled with hand-cut soft polyester fibers in a channeled-back case (preventing vertical drift), then inserted into a zippered leather cover. All are hand made to ensure a maximum level of comfort and provide a look that keeps its tailored shape.

HIGH-END FRAME using TRADITIONAL QUALITY
The internal frame is made up of 1 1/4" select kiln-dried hardwood lumber (oak or maple). All frame joints are double doweled, glued and secured for lasting strength. This is the traditional high-end, hand-made, construction method that many people are familiar with.

SEATING SYSTEM
It starts with heat-tempered steel coil springs underneath the cushions, secured to the seat bottom and each other using the time-honored, true 8-way hand-tying allowing for a comfortable seat plus durability. This traditional high-end construction method stabilizes the coil springs and causes the entire spring set to work in unison for maximum comfort.
