Frame and Cushion Construction

The internal frame is made from a 9-layered hardwood with precision cuts from a computer controlled cutting machine. Frame joints are secured three ways with glue, industrial staples and the unique "puzzle fit" of each joint, ensuring structural integrity and exceeding industry standards. This frame is strong, sturdy and will provide a lifetime of support. All exposed woods are maple wood, sanded, filled, stained and finished with two coats of high sheen lacquer to enhance the wood grain. There are various finish colors from which to choose.

SEATING SYSTEM -
Located under the seat cushions is a multi-spring seating system. Like a high quality spring mattress, this seating system is a pocketed heat-tempered steel spring coil seating system offering 110 individual spring coils per seat (a 3-seat sofa contains 330 spring coils!). The coils are individually wrapped or pocketed in fabric casing to prevent squeaking over an extended use and provides a consistent and comfortable seat.

CUSHIONS -
Above the multi-spring seating system is a cushion using high resiliency 1.8 density polyurethane foam core (using no harmful environmental agents) providing durability, support and comfort. This core is wrapped in a generous soft layer of Dacron polyester fiber. For additional cushion crown and a soft, plush look, it is inserted into a down-proof cover that is channeled (to prevent drift) and filled with a special blown polyester fiber blend. This cushion component is inserted into a zippered leather case. This provides a comfortable, long lasting and sharp looking seat that keeps its shape for years to come. An optional cushion that includes down feathers will provide more plush seating with a higher crown. The construction is the same as above, except the channeled down-proof cover is filled with 90% waterfowl duck feathers and 10% polyester fiber blend. Like the seat cushions, all back cushions are made according to the style of the furniture piece. All are filled with hand-cut fibers in a channeled back (preventing vertical drift), then inserted into a zippered leather cover. All are hand made to ensure a maximum level of comfort and provide a look that keeps its tailored shape.
