Therefore, in our motion furniture we use steel to tie our hardwood frames together, steel seat boxings to ensure the long life of our springing system and our reclining mechanisms are made, not merely assembled, in the USA. We use the best high resiliency cushioning available and completely cover the furniture in premium top grain cow hide. Split leathers and vinyls are never used.

Comfort Design is a proud supporter of the Upholstered Furniture Action Council and certifies that this upholstered furniture is made in accordance with the new, improved UFAC methods, designed to reduce the likelihood of furniture fire from cigarettes. Comfort Design is in compliance with the requirements of the Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Formaldehyde Emmisions From Composite Wood Products enacted by the California Air Resources Board. As standard business practice Comfort Design meets these voluntary industry requirements.

Comfort Design is a stand alone, wholly owned subsidiary with the backing of Klaussner Home Furnishings. Klaussner, is a family owned business with over 2,000 employees and has been manufacturing quality constructed furniture for more than 35 years.

Comfort Design warrants to the original residential purchaser that their seating products will be free from defects in workmanship for a limited lifetime under normal useful life of the product under normal household use and conditions. The specific areas covered include frame construction, seat and back spring construction, and manual recliner mechanism. Additional areas covered under this warranty include:
- Cushioning components: 5 years on Down Blend and Spring Blend, 3 years on Posture Plush;
- Leathers: 1 year;

- Electrical Motors (non-lift chair): 5 years;
- Electrical Products (lift chair motors, hand controls, AC adaptors/transformers, air mattress pumps: 1 year;

- Sleeper Mechanism: 2 years on Air Loft, 1 year on all others;
- Mattress: 3 years on Air mattress, 2 years Dreamquest mattress - pro-rated 10% 2nd year, 20% 3rd year.

All warranty claims and inspections must be coordinated and approved by the manufacturer prior to any repair work authorization. This warranty does not cover any evidence of damage incurred in transit, abuse of any kind, or conditions outside of normal residential use (non-rental). Due to leather variance, we must reserve the right to repair or replace any part that is determined to be defective within the terms of the warranty period.
