Damage due to shipping
All of our products are well packaged utilizing various methods to prevent damage during shipping. Every effort is made to ensure that the furniture is shipped and delivered by the most reputable and qualified freight carrying companies. Despite these precautions, please inspect your delivery. If an item looks damaged:
- Even if the package appears only slightly damaged, write "Package Damaged" on the driver's paperwork prior to signing your acceptance. This is VERY important. Open the package immediately to inspect the item. If it is damaged note that on the paperwork prior to signing acceptance and contact us immediately. You will be asked to provide pictures, preferrably digital pictures via email.
- If you have already accepted the package and find that parts are missing or damaged, immediately contact us and we will correct the problem. Speed matters since most carriers only accept freight claims within 48 hours of delivery. If we cannot replace the parts, we will have the carrier pick up the item and we will send you a replacement. All returned products must be in the original packaging.
- Even if the delivered package appears to be fine from the outside of the boxes please mark the driver's paperwork you sign "Pending Inspection". This indicates that you are not accepting the package until you have opened it and inspected it. Please open the package immediately and contact us if there is a concern.
- If delivered by a motor freight carrier, we are unable to accept responsibility if damage is not noted on the carrier's delivery/acceptance paperwork or if we are not notified within 48 hours.
- We will work to report any problems to the carrier and to repair or replace any damaged items.
